Water supply and wastewater monitoring system

Pateriņa palielinājums

Urban water supply and sewage networks (hereinafter-networks) are designed in the second half of last. All cities of Eastern European countries have been affected by the process of deindustrialization. Factories have become warehouses, shops, offices and even residential houses.

Population of some cities has increased, some-fallen. Difficult situation with utilities is observed in cities where the population varies depending on the season.

According to occupancy, the network also changes load. Based on approximate calculations, networks in the former "industrial" areas work with losses but newly created private areas – their power is insufficient.

Monitoringa sensori

To get accurate information about the network current work system core statistics monitoring for certain nodes is required. For water supply and sewage farms the main parameters are pressure, flow and level.

Flow or consumption meters are expensive, their Assembly is complex, so they are impractical to use. The cost of pressure / level sensors is acceptable, their assembly is simple, so they are the main sources of information in the study of the work of systems.

The transducers shall be connected to a controller who, after processing the received information, transfer it to the service personnel.

A modern controller is a small computer with a narrow task profile and specific interfaces for connecting transducers, consumption meters, engine states, etc. Mainly, used small controllers with an acceptable cost.

At sewage pumping stations, it is purposeful to follow the work/downtime of pumping equipment, which gives possibility to list pump hours, compare pump hours, revealing pump rotations failure and even damage to one or both pumps.

Controller

Kontrolleris

Tiny controller CP_Q2686 with built-in power supply and GPRS modem. Designed specifically for small technological nodes or for monitoring remote objects.

For all external connections, connections of plugs is used aluminum housing.

All necessary plugs for power supply and communication elements are placed at the top.
X1-230 VAC
X2-12 VDC external battery
SIM-plugin for full size SIM card
X5-SMA plug for external GSM antenna

Two pins are located at the bottom:
X3-physical Chair (9 DI, 2AI, 2TV)
X4-RS232 / 485 port for sensor connection (consumption meters, 3. Lifting stations, frequency modifiers)

Controllers are assembled inside the Cabinet. Cabinet structures are manufactured according to location environment: outdoor – iron cabinet with protection class IP55 and above, for indoor - plastic with IP55 and above.

Kontrolleris Kontrolleris

The introduction of a city water supply management system allows you to reduce electricity consumption by 10-15 percent, reduce losses associated with accidents, quickly respond to sudden changes in water consumption, reduce maintenance costs and troubleshooting.

Data transfer

Datu nosūtīšanas shema

The collected data is sent by the controller to the selected servers using GPRS connection. Server selects survey frequency taking into account traffic volume and relevance of data. For most objects optimal frequency of the survey is once a minute. That is technologically sufficient and allows the use of connections with small traffic limit.

System operators, after connecting to server, receive aggregated information about all objects of this server. Both local and remote connection is possible. There are many possible ways to connect operator workspace to server, limited only by economic considerations.

Datu nosūtīšanas shema

A typical scheme for connecting operator workspaces to the server (servers). It should be noted that the emergency notifications are sent not from the local operators of the object. This gives an opportunity to add additional logic, such as emergency filtration, choosing most appropriate responsible person.
